Somehow I missed noticing that my publisher put up a page for Neighborly Affection: Playing the Game. (Duh, oblivious much in head-down writing mode?)
Go, feast upon the blurb and a new excerpt not found anywhere else yet!
Less than two months to go. Can you tell I’m excited? 🙂
They exist. I’ve seen them. Today, my publisher delivered the finalized ebook files for Neighborly Affection: Playing the Game, and my heart thundered so hard I think passing out was a distinct possibility. Yes, it’s that exciting for a first-timer. Once I’d calmed down enough to read beyond the first…
I don’t know how she does it, but my content editor has the absolute best timing. No sooner do I whip book two into shape and churn out a synopsis for it (potentially the worst part of writing — condensing everything you love into two pages of straightforward explanation) than she drops a cheery note in my inbox with a line edit for book one.
That means Neighborly Affection: Playing the Game is one step closer to publication. (The dog is barking at all the happy dancing going on here.) A few minor changes, and it’ll go back into my editor’s hands. Soon it’ll be making its way to reviewers and readers while I chew my fingernails to nubs hoping Alice, Henry, and Jay will make plenty of friends.
